- Winding & Packaging Types
- Eye to the Sky: Coil is wound with the inner diameter (ID) facing upward and the outer diameter (OD) facing downward — ideal for vertical handling.
- Eye to the Side: Coil is wound with the eye (center hole) oriented horizontally — standard for many processing lines.
- Oscillate Winding: Also known as pancake wound, the strip is wound back and forth across a wider core, creating a long, continuous coil with minimal stops.
- Ribbon Wound: A narrow strip is tightly wound in a single layer, ideal for thin gauges and precise applications.
- Optional Coil Features (Available with Any Winding Style)
- Interleaving: Paper or plastic layers between wraps to prevent surface damage.
- Edge Conditioning: Deburred or rounded edges for safer handling and improved formability.
- Custom Core Sizes: Available in 6″, 12″, 16″, 20″, 24″, and other diameters.
- Coil Banding: Secured with steel or plastic straps for safe transport and storage.
